Xpand Portal hardware and software requirements
Before installing Xpand Portal, ensure your system meets the hardware and software requirements listed below.

Software requirements
If integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is used, in terms of the client, server and database tiers, the Xpand Portal solution follows all the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central software requirements. The minimum system requirements for the Xpand Portal on the web tier:

- Microsoft SQL credentials to connect Xpand Portal with a database with "db owner" permissions.
- Microsoft SQL credentials to create a new database with "db creator" permissions (if a new database is required)
- IIS 7+
- Microsoft .NET 8.0: .NET Runtime 8.0.7 and ASP.NET Core Runtime 8.0.7
Note: First install .NET Runtime 8.0.7, and then - ASP.NET Core Runtime 8.0.7. On Windows, you must install the Hosting Bundle, which includes the .NET runtime, the ASP.NET Core runtime, and if installed on a machine with IIS, it will also add the ASP.NET Core IIS Module.
- Ability to set file permissions to include create/read/write (or better) for the user that "owns" the Application Pool for your site (usually IIS APPPOOL\appPoolName or a specific local account or, in some circumstances, NETWORK SERVICE)
