Account Authentication page

The Account Authentication page (or 2-factor verification page) is a portal page that will be opened to authenticate the portal member's login if the  2-factor authentication feature is turned on.

To create an Account Authentication page for your portal

  1. In CMS, go to Content.
  2. Select the icon next to the node with the icon (or select and hold (or right-click) the node, and then select Create).

        Note

    The  icon identifies the My Account page. The name of the page, which is also displayed as the node name, is customizable and can be different in your case. 

  3. In the Create pane, select 2 factor verification page.

  4. On the header, type the name of the page, which will also be displayed as the node name in the site localization tree.
  5. On the General tab, configure the settings as described below.
    1. Title - Specifies the title that will be displayed in the header of the Account Authentication page.
    2. Subtitle - Specifies the subtitle that will be displayed in the header of the Account Authentication page.
    3. Browser tab title - Specifies the title of the web browser tab that will be displayed when the Account Authentication page is opened and the member point to the browser tab.
    4. Content-from page - Specifies the page the content of which will be displayed instead of the content of this page when this page is opened via a direct link. The URL in the address bar will remain that of the original page.
    5. Redirect-to page - Specifies the page that will be displayed instead of this page when this page is opened via a direct link. The URL in the address bar will be that of the target page. 
    6. Menu settings:
      1. Menu item title -Specifies the title of the menu item, which will be displayed in the navigation pane for this page.
      2. Hide menu item - Specifies whether the menu item for this page will be hidden, and for which member groups. Only members that were added to the members groups that you select here will have this menu item available in their navigation pane. If you leave this check box cleared, the menu item will be visible to all member groups.
      3. Hide breadcrumb - Use this switch to hide or make visible again the page breadcrumb trail at the top of the page. A breadcrumb trail is used as a navigational aid to help portal members keep track and maintain awareness of their locations within the portal.
      4. Menu item icon - Specifies the icon of the menu item for this page. Select the square and browse to the icon in the portal media library.
      5. Menu item title color - Specifies the color of the menu item for this page.
      6. Split menu - Specifies whether a split line will be displayed after the menu item of this page.
      7. Compact menu - Specifies whether menu items will be displayed as icons in the main menu (navigation pane) for this page.
      8. Hidden menu - Specifies whether the main menu (navigation pane) will be hidden when this page is opened. The navigation can always be accessed by selecting the corresponding icon at the top of the page.

  6. On the Page settings tab, configure the settings as described below.
    1. Enable 2-factor verification - Use this switch to turn on or off the 2-factor authentication feature.
    2. Providers - Specifies the authentication provider. Select one of the supported authentication providers and configure its settings. The settings will be different for each authentication provider. For the Google authentication provider, configure the following settings:

        Note

      At present, only Google authentication provider is supported.

      1. Unique Name - Specifies the name of the authentication using the Google provider that will be used to identify it in CMS.
      2. QR code refresh interval (seconds) - Specifies the interval in seconds between each time the QR-code, which the user can scan on the Account Authentication page using the authentication app on the mobile device to authenticate the login, is refreshed.
      3. Unique portal name - Specifies the unique portal name that will be used for this authentication.
      4. Unique portal ID - Specifies the name of the account that will be displayed in the authentication app for this authentication.
      5. QR code width - Specifies the width in pixels of the QR-code, which the user can scan on the Account Authentication page using the authentication app on the mobile device to authenticate the login. Recommended setting: 300.
      6. QR code height - Specifies the height in pixels of the QR-code, which the user can scan on the Account Authentication page using the authentication app on the mobile device to authenticate the login. Recommended setting: 300.
    3. Hide header  - Use this switch to hide the header on the Account Authentication page.
    4. Hide labels  - Use this switch to hide labels on the Account Authentication page.
    5. Hide Remember me check box  - Use this switch hide the Remember me check box on the Account Authentication page, which disables for portal members the ability to have their authentication remembered. if you disable this feature, portal members will have to authenticate their every login attempt.
    6. Background image - Specifies the image that will be displayed on the Account Authentication page. Select the icon to add an image. You can browse the portal media library to select an existing image or upload a custom one. To edit an already specified image as well as view its details, point to the image thumbnail and select the icon. To remove the image, point to the image thumbnail and select the icon.

  7. Select Save and publish to save the changes and publish them on the front end. Optionally, if you were editing the page, you can select Save and preview to preview how the page will look like on the front end.
  8. Specify the created Account Authentication page on the My account page in the Verification field.
