Unsubscribing from changes on a record

If you do not want to receive notifications about the changes on a record or entity that you are subscribed to, you can unsubscribe from changes on that record or entity. You can do this directly on the page with the record (only with the Direct Notifications subscription type) or use the Manage Notifications action on the header to view, edit, and delete you page subscriptions. The Manage Notifications action is useful when you have a lot of subscriptions and you do not want to open numerous portal pages to find the records you are subscribed to.

To unsubscribe from changes on a record or entity

  1. On any portal page, on the toolbar, select [User] >Manage Notifications where [User] is the name of the portal member.
  2. On the Filtered Notification Subscriptions page, go to the tab with the required subscription type.
  3. Select a line with a subscription, and then do one of the following:
    1. Select the  icon to edit the subscription, and then clear the Enable Email Notification check box to turn off email notifications and/or Enable Portal Notifications check box to turn off portal notifications. Select SAVE to save the changes.
    2. Select the icon to delete the subscription. Use this option only if you are not planning to resume the subscription in the future.

Unsubscribing from group notifications

Members for the role of which group notifications were configured can still opt out of these group notifications at any time: they can open the corresponding notification setup card, which becomes available on their Manage notifications page if group notifications were set up for their role, where they can clear the Enable Email Notification and/or Enable Portal Notification check box to disable the notification by email or portal notification correspondingly. This must be set up to work properly.

Additionally, members can unsubscribe from a notification directly from the notification email or portal notification by selecting the unsubscribe link. For such a link to be available on a notification, it must be added to the body of the notification template using the code ##unsubscribelink## in the URL code of the template (e.g. <a href="##unsubscribelink##">link</a>).
