Layout block elements
Various page elements are added to grid, detail (card), account, or dashboard (home) pages in special containers, referred to as layout blocks. Certain layout block elements can be added only to a page of a specific type. After you add a 
grid, 
detail, 
Account layout block, or 
dashboard layout block, and then try to add an element to that layout block, you will see which elements are supported depending on the page type where the layout block was added.
The following layout block elements can be added to portal pages:
